About the event
To celebrate Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s birthday, Wednesday, November 12, The Elizabeth Cady Stanton Hometown Association (ECSHA) hosted a Young Women’s Leadership Summit. High school juniors from Gloversville, Johnstown, Fonda, Mayfield, Northville and PTECH came to Schine Memorial Hall in Gloversville to network with local women leaders; tour an art show on women’s leadership created by Dr. Leslie Ford; meet with Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s great-great granddaughter, Coline Jenkins; and craft their own leadership philosophy.
Fifteen local women leaders from a variety of fields were on hand to offer the students insight on their leadership journeys. The students who attended overwhelming reported that this event was a valuable use of their time.
